Because the U.S. Won't Control The Flow Of Guns Into Latin America
Mexican authorities seized almost 70,000 weapons of U.S. origin from 2007 to 2011. In 2004, the U.S. Congress declined to renew a 10-year ban on the sale of assault weapons. They quickly became the guns of choice for Mexican drug cartels.
Some 60,000 people have died in Mexico since President Felipe Calderón launched a military assault on the cartels in 2006.c/s

10/21/2013  Comment: This article involves North Carolina, though it may have implications in other sectors of the country. In relation to Voting, it should be accepted that it is natural and logical for folks to have ID in the first place. Why give racist reactionaries more ammo?

I would be more concerned about the
redrawing of congressional district lines with the conscious intention of favoring certain demographics.

To make matters worse there is the general apathy of potential voters and the opinion of phony progressives that involvement in any form of electoral politics is irrelevant. It is patent that the U.S.A. is now not an authentic democracy, if it ever was, BUTTT if there is ever to be a true democracy it would require the mass participation of the masses, including personal participation in the realm of electoral politics.
