Carnal David ~ You can reach Comandante Blanco via Facebook I know. I myself have communicated with him and I am glad to see the Brown Berets still alive as an organization or at least to the degree that it is now. I was in the Sacramento Brown Berets many moons ago and it kind of faded away after the disbandment.

We must encourage any and all forms of radical resistance against the evil powers that be. Hell some folks are not even sure if evil exists. We should try to go what we can with what we have. Naturally, you are right that slander should not be permitted in the Movimiento, though politics is war without bloodshed.

A lot of stuff came down in the late 60s and early 70s. We should come together based upon common shared principles. I myself  have evolved far beyond the old Chicano cultural nationalist philosophy of former times. I embrace a relatively new democratic socialist philosophy that addresses the peope's basic needs and give us a new division for further liberating activity.

There is much to be discussed and we should not give up on carrying on dialogue. It would be good for some folks to meet face to face and man to man in order to reach a unity based upon shared values. Continue to reach out out to others, be able to still respect each other despite differences of opinion and understand that karma has a way of coming back around. Better face to face or at least via telephone that just in a group medium online. Get hip to Twitter and keep the faith.

Subject: [NetworkAztlan_News] Re: Slander on the Internet

Who is responsible for slander and mis-information on the internet.
Recently, Jeronimo Blanco wrote an article titled Statement of
Affiliation. For example he said that I was discharged from the Brown
Berets. And that I should no longer be referred to as the Prime
Minister. I was never discharged. He also said that Carlos Montes should
never speak about the Brown Berets. Who is Jeronimo Blanco? I don't know
who this guy is. And they call themselves the original brown berets?
They were not there during the Walkouts or during the Moratorium Events,
How can they proclaim credit for these events. Over and over again, they
continue to make negative statements about people on the internet.
Slander should not be allowed in the movement. It only causes division.
Gang mentality is unacceptable. It also has been said that they go
around making demands on people with fear tactics. This is all very
suspicious.
What ever happened to respect for La Raza?
