The Toltecas were often called the intelligent one's. They probably had much enphasis in "talking with skill". So often, I have seen community organizations fall apart due to communication break-downs. Of which people get angry because they cannot get across. Hence, it must be understand that communication is a two way street. And that people need to explain themselves fully and to not be mis-interepretated. From experiences as a chair, I have seen how people get angry at meetings and begin to attack each other instead of attacking the problem with words. This is the result of lack of skill in talking.

Yes, sometimes, even educated people argue over an issue, and let emotions over take them. From this, it has been said that humans are very quarrelsome. In talking, a person needs to control their voice and not speak to loudly. In perspective, the sound of arguments chases people away. Bad talk about people, negative rumors, and gossip also make people think that certain statements are the result of lack of education. And the use of smear attempts is almost ape-like. It is much better to make positve statements about people.

Another divider in groups is that when egos, self-centerism, personalities, and self ambitions over take a conversation and mangle the goals of a group. Everyone wants to be the boss, and pretty soon, no one is left in the group. Therefore, a good leader is a good follower of the general consensus.

Today, in the U.S., there are around 18.000 people killed per year, mostly over arguments. This includes around 3,000 Mexican Americans and Latinos gone per year from not understanding the communicating world. Therefore, to mend problems related to verbal communications, the level of communication and talking skills must must be promoted.

Consequently, verbal illitracy is a major problem. Eloquently, social communication along with advanced communication needs to be practiced, and in praxis of teaching communication skills.
